Let it Snow

I'd be very ungrateful if I didn't say thanks to everyone who spent a little time at home for Christmas, so thanks. Christmas was good this year. It snowed Christmas night and so Alex and I thought we should take advantage of the fact that we are young and we went out and played in the snow at about Eleven at night! It was a lot of fun and I'm glad Alex doesn't think he's too cool to hang out with his dorky little sister.
Mom and I are really enjoying our two weeks of from school. It is a very needed brake, that I will miss it when it's over. Adam called on Christmas day and we all enjoyed talking to him. His is still in New Zealand and doing well. We love him very much and miss him terribly this time of the year.

Wow

Sorry I haven't updated my blog in months, I know my fans are disappointed. It has been a very busy couple of months. My summer was great. I loved having a break from school, and from responsibility for that matter. I read a lot of books, I rec emend the Eragon books for anyone who hasn't read them. I loved them. Also I went to girls camp. We almost got eaten by bears, but it's ok, it all came out right in the end. Also this summer, aunt Erin came to visit with family, I really loved having her kids around, and getting to know my family a little better. In August I went to youth conference and had fun boating. But, of course it had to come, the dreaded school started.
High School if fun, I'm enjoying my Sophomore year. I turned 16 in September and I'm exited to get my license soon. I'm loving the BYU football season, we are doing ok. I watch the games with my family and friends and it's always fun. (When we win) Sorry this is a really boring blog, but I'll try to blog more often and make them more exiting. Here are some fun pictures form this summer.
In the huddle before a church volleyball game. We were doing a cheer I made up for us.

A couple of my friends decorated my room for my birthday, and then we went out for ice cream. It was a mess, but it was fun.

At girls camp, some of the older girls went on an overnight hike. It was a lot of fun, and mom went too.

Annie and I during a BYU game, we had fun painting our faces to show our teem spirit.

Yellow is Happy

Last week we painted my room!! It was really ugly before. I hated it, and I've been begging to redo it for years! We had to clean and take almost every thing out. We only left the beds and my big armwore. It was a lot of work. We went and got paint Wednesday morning, then prepped my room with plastic and tape. It took forever. Then the power went out, and my room is the darkest room in the house so we could barley see what we were doing. We started painting, and discovered the color didn't look good, so we went back to the store and changed it to a darker color. We painted in the dark for awhile. The power came back on and we were able to finish the paint job. Now we have everything back, with a few changes. I am loving it!!

Sunday Blessings

This week didn't have the greatest start. Sunday I wasn't feeling the greatest, so I left church early. It was a good thing I did, because when I got home I got a bloody nose. I've had bad nose bleeds before but this was like nothing I've ever seen. Blood was literally spraying out. Dad had me lay down and put pressure on it for about an hour. (I know now we probably should have gone to the hospital, from researching on Web MD.) After an hour of constant bleeding, I asked dad for a Blessing. As soon as he finished It stopped completely. After that I slept the rest of the day, I was so tired after loosing so much blood. I thought I was going to die. I'm really glad to have the Preisthood in my life, because I know with out it, just for this little thing, it would have been much worse.

Wisdom Teeth and Other Things

I no longer have Wisdom Teeth! Whoo Hooo!! I'm really glad I could get it over with, but I just wish I never had to have it done. I had another tooth that had to come out too, It was an abnormal tooth that wasn't suppose to be there. They put me to sleep and took out the Wisdom teeth, but when he got to the weird tooth, I started to wake up. They put me back to sleep, but apparently in the waiting room mom could here me moaning. I've been healing well and other than the first week after, I've been able to eat ok. Mostly shakes and Popsicles, I was literally Aimee in the sky with Popsicles.

Last Saturday we went up to Logan to one of Tyler's "Get Back" shows. The Putnams were there and Andrew and Hannah. It was really fun. I was kinda high on pain killers so I'm sure it sounded better to me, put I really enjoyed it and they are really good. Tyler is really fun to watch on stage, he has a talent I do not have.

I need to thank Andrew and Hannah for letting me borrow there third season of The Office, it got me through some of the pain. I also read the "Twilight" series, they were fun. I don't know if I can get into them like some of my friends, but I enjoyed them. I'm going to stop rambling on, hope someone enjoyed this.

Summer Bugs

Well this morning started out fine, but when I got back from the store Dad had a Hobo spider caught in a jar. I hate spiders!!! Sorry you can't see it very well in the picture. It's hard to get a good shot through a class jar, but I was not about to open the jar. Summer is good, but there are tons of bugs. I just wish there were no creepy bugs. I hate having to live in the basement, because I wake up with bug bites all over in the morning. I think there spiders', but now that dad caught a poisons spider, it's really creepy/scary.

Well, with that happy thought, hope everyone has a good week!!

It was really good, I've never been there before so it was great. Then we went to Payless, and tried on about every shoe. After we got bored of shoes we went to target and tried on swim suits. It was really fun!! Now I'm really exited to be out of school! Already it's been great, so I hope it can only get better.

Driver's Permit

I'm almost Sixteen and I still don't have my "Driver's Permit." So I've been studding over the past week. I was wondering how many of these things people actually know. I made a Poll to see. Do you think you know your Traffic Signs?

Speed Racer!

Ok, this is kinda lame, but for science the past couple weeks, we had to build a "moon speed racer." So dad really helped my friends and I build it. (Dad did most of it) We named it Flick because it kinda flicks, and Flick is an inventor on the movie A Bugs Life. This week we took it into science to compete against the other racers, and ours won!! Ya, it made my day, I know I'm a geek! Well this is it, Isn't it awesome?

Somthing Besides Homework

Alyssa inspired me to write more about my thoughts. This week is the second to last week of school. The longest week in the whole year. Next week I have tons of plans with friends, but this week I just have tests! NO!!!! I guess school can't end with out tests. (Someday, in my dream world, there will be no tests. At least not for me!)

Saturday night I spent the night at Lissy and Tyler's. They have birds living in their bath room vent, and when turned on the light, I also turned on the fan. I turned it off quick, but I still felt really bad. Alyssa kept telling me she though I killed it. I still feel bad, sorry Lissy.

This is what I do with my spare time. I get really bored sometimes. I think I need a job! Speaking of jobs, Dad has a second interview with Weber State on Wednesday. We are all praying had that he will get it. If you want to, I think that would be great!

The other day, I did an assignment for English, where I needed to write a paper on someone in another generation. I did grandma Bates, and used her personal history as a reference. I really learned a lot. I wish I could have known her better when she was still alive. If you haven't read her personal history, I highly recommend it.

I hope this entertained somebody. It gives me something to do when I don't want to do homework.

High school essays

Hannah wrote this on her blog, and I thought they were hilarious. Thanks Hannah for sharing.
Apparently they were found in actual high school essays. Enjoy!

Her face was a perfect oval, like a circle that had its two sides gently compressed by a Thigh Master.

She grew on him like she was a colony of E. coli and he was room-temperature Canadian beef.

She had a deep, throaty, genuine laugh, like that sound a dog makes just before it throws up.

Her vocabulary was as bad as, like, whatever.

He was as tall as a six-foot-three-inch tree.

The little boat gently drifted across the pond exactly the way a bowling ball wouldn't.

McBride fell 12 stories, hitting the pavement like a Hefty bag filled with vegetable soup.

From the attic came an unearthly howl. The whole scene had an eerie, surreal quality, like when you're on vacation in another city and Jeopardy comes on at7:00 p.m. instead of 7:30.

Long separated by cruel fate, the star-crossed lovers raced across the grassy field toward each other like two freight trains, one having left Cleveland at 6:36 p.m. traveling at 55 mph, the other from Topeka at 4:19 p.m. at a speed of 35 mph.

John and Mary had never met. They were like two hummingbirds who had also never met.

He fell for her like his heart was a mob informant and she was the East River.

Even in his last years, Grand pappy had a mind like a steel trap, only one that had been left out so long, it had rusted shut.

The young fighter had a hungry look, the kind you get from not eating for a while.

He was as lame as a duck. Not the metaphorical lame duck either, but a real duck that was actually lame. Maybe from stepping on a land mine or something.

It was an American tradition, like fathers chasing kids around with power tools.

He was deeply in love. When she spoke, he thought he heard bells, as if she were a garbage truck backing up.

It hurt the way your tongue hurts after you accidentally staple it to the wall.

Alex, too cool

Freedom

This weekend Dad and Alex have been in California. It's just been mom and I at home. It's been so nice. Yesterday mom and I went shopping, went out to dinner, and did a beauty night. It was so fun. I got some cute new clothes too. Well that's all I've got to say today.

Random Things for the Month of March

Ok, so Hannah basically just told me I was lame because I never update my blog, so here's what I've been up to for the past month.
I don't really have a life, so I've been kind of a hermit this month reading. I started The Chronicles of Narnia at the beginning of the month and couldn't stop till I finished. I recommend them to anyone who hasn't read them and anyone that hasn't read them since they were little. I loved them so much.
In my English class the past term we studied Romeo and Juliet. I actually enjoyed it. My teacher really made sure that the class understood everything that was going on and made it fun. For one of the final papers that I had to write, dad helped me and my teacher really liked it. She gave me an A++++ (not kidding) she called me up to her desk after she handed all the papers back and told me that she was really proud of me, and that if she could she would put A++++ in the computer. (Made my week)
I've been really into running lately, I go running with friends almost everyday and I'm really enjoying it. Last week I went to a track practice, but I decided against doing it because non of my friends were doing it and I had to pay an expensive fee to join. The way I see it, I can run with my friends for free. Also a lot my friends and I are joining the Cross-Country team at Viewmont next year so that will be fun.
For Easter, Alyssa and Tyler came down and we decorated eggs and hunted for treats. If you want to see pictures, look on tylissa's blog, there cute pics.
Also, Lissy brought Arrested Development last week. I have enjoyed it greatly. Thanks Liss.

Dusty Week

Well, this week has been pretty good. Dad was able to get his hands on some granite slabs so this week he has been putting them in to the kitchen as new counter tops. It looked as if our house had not been cleaned in years. There was granite dust everywhere, on top of every surface, and under every surface. It was hard to find somewhere to sit and eat. luckily my room is far away from the kitchen, so I could eat and just stay in my room where the dust was at a minimum. The granite is really starting to come together. It looks a lot better than what we had before (if you don't remember what we had before, count yourself lucky). The dust was bad, but it I think it will really pay off. Dad has been working so had at this and I should say something about it. So, Dad is really a hard worker for sticking with this and finishing the counter tops (it doesn't look easy). Other than that it's been a good week.

Also, yesterday I got to see Tyler because he was substituting for a teacher at my school. That was fun to see him there, even if it wasn't for one of my teachers. It was also very funny because I heard some girls thought you were really hot Tyler (that's what one of my friends told me). Hope Lissy doesn't feel bad that a bunch of thirteen year old girls think her husband is cute.

I got tagged by Lissy

What was I doing ten years ago?
I was five years old, and we had just moved to a new house. I was free and wild with no responsibility.

5-things on my to-do list today:
1. Get through the school day
2. Get through the school day without much homework
3. Do my homework
4. Go exercising. (Didn't happen)
5. Start a new book (Most likely Prince Caspian)

5 things I would do if I suddenly became a millionaire:
1. Put most of it into a savings account to spend latter (probably on school)
2. Give some of it to mom and dad so they can buy a new house
3. Buy a new wardrobe
4. Hire a personal trainer so I can fit into my new wardrobe
5. Give some of it to my poor brothers and sisters (sorry Adam I guess that means you don't get any)

2 of my bad habits are:
1. Worrying about what people will think of me, all the time
2. Eating when I'm not hungry

5 places I've lived:
1. Centerville Utah
That's sad

5 Jobs I've had:
1. Babysitter
2. House sitter
3. Helping my parents cater weddings
4. Slave to my older brothers and sister

5 things people don't know about me:
1. I really like current events and politics
2. I still sleep with a night light, I can't sleep if it's pitch dark
3. I will eat breakfast cereal at any time of the day. Cereal is the best!
4. I've always wished I learned how to dance, something like ballet
5. I'm always worried about looking like an idiot

Ok, well every one that I would tag already have been tagged. So, my friends that don't have blogs yet, but will. Annie, Whitney, Sarah, JJ, Taresa, Lyndsay, and Angela.

How I love Saterdays

This morning I woke up at Ten, mom made me some delicious German pancakes, and then I went for a walk. Now I'm just here playing around. I love Saturdays. During the week I look forward to the weekend just because it means I can be at home and not at school. It really is a nice brake.
