High school essays
Apparently they were found in actual high school essays. Enjoy!
Her face was a perfect oval, like a circle that had its two sides gently compressed by a Thigh Master.
She grew on him like she was a colony of E. coli and he was room-temperature Canadian beef.
She had a deep, throaty, genuine laugh, like that sound a dog makes just before it throws up.
Her vocabulary was as bad as, like, whatever.
He was as tall as a six-foot-three-inch tree.
The little boat gently drifted across the pond exactly the way a bowling ball wouldn't.
McBride fell 12 stories, hitting the pavement like a Hefty bag filled with vegetable soup.
From the attic came an unearthly howl. The whole scene had an eerie, surreal quality, like when you're on vacation in another city and Jeopardy comes on at7:00 p.m. instead of
Long separated by cruel fate, the star-crossed lovers raced across the grassy field toward each other like two freight trains, one having left
John and Mary had never met. They were like two hummingbirds who had also never met.
He fell for her like his heart was a mob informant and she was the
Even in his last years, Grand pappy had a mind like a steel trap, only one that had been left out so long, it had rusted shut.
The young fighter had a hungry look, the kind you get from not eating for a while.
He was as lame as a duck. Not the metaphorical lame duck either, but a real duck that was actually lame. Maybe from stepping on a land mine or something.
It was an American tradition, like fathers chasing kids around with power tools.
He was deeply in love. When she spoke, he thought he heard bells, as if she were a garbage truck backing up.
It hurt the way your tongue hurts after you accidentally staple it to the wall.

Random Things for the Month of March
I don't really have a life, so I've been kind of a hermit this month reading. I started The Chronicles of Narnia at the beginning of the month and couldn't stop till I finished. I recommend them to anyone who hasn't read them and anyone that hasn't read them since they were little. I loved them so much.
In my English class the past term we studied Romeo and Juliet. I actually enjoyed it. My teacher really made sure that the class understood everything that was going on and made it fun. For one of the final papers that I had to write, dad helped me and my teacher really liked it. She gave me an A++++ (not kidding) she called me up to her desk after she handed all the papers back and told me that she was really proud of me, and that if she could she would put A++++ in the computer. (Made my week)
I've been really into running lately, I go running with friends almost everyday and I'm really enjoying it. Last week I went to a track practice, but I decided against doing it because non of my friends were doing it and I had to pay an expensive fee to join. The way I see it, I can run with my friends for free. Also a lot my friends and I are joining the Cross-Country team at Viewmont next year so that will be fun.
For Easter, Alyssa and Tyler came down and we decorated eggs and hunted for treats. If you want to see pictures, look on tylissa's blog, there cute pics.
Also, Lissy brought Arrested Development last week. I have enjoyed it greatly. Thanks Liss.
